When I applied to this career I didn’t pay too
much attention to the study program, neither compare this program to other
university study programs of journalism, I was just exited for the opportunity
to study in one of the best universities of the country. (At least that’s what
people say)
Till the moment I have coursed subjects that develop
writing skills and other ones like cultural studies, radio, audiovisual
composition and that kind of things.
Considering the kind of job that I would like
to do in the future (organizational communication) I think I’m not prepared for
that. We haven’t had subjects like marketing, strategies for internal
communications, I only know some basic things of excel, adobe audition, Photoshop
and adobe premiere, those things are the only ones that I believe that may help
me in the future, but I haven’t learned here. So the first thing that would
change is that, the study program should have more of those subjects, because not
all of us want to do journalism and work on a radio or newspaper.
Related to the previous point, it would be good
that the elective subjects be Photoshop, adobe premiere, adobe audition, Microsoft
office, and those things. For example I’m doing an anti psychiatry elective
course, and honestly o don’t think that this will be useful for my career.
I believe the length of the studies is good,
but some subjects are not necessary, like the one that I mentioned before. Another important thing is the infrastructure,
for example I know that the TV studio is not very complete, is small, we don’t have
a lot of cameras neither, and cameras are vital to us.
Now, related to the teaching methods I’m not a
100% happy with them. There are some teachers that just talk about his lives, or
just talk and never stop. They should be fire (just kidding hahaha)
In general the study program is ok, not totally
good ... but nobody is perfect

I saw our career curriculum and the next year (or fifth year, I don't reember) we'll have the courses that you like, so you can only wait for it :(
